Well, it’s been a busy week.
On Monday, Amanda called me to let me know that our newest addition, baby girl #2, would arrive no later than next Monday. Seems the wee one decided to turn sideways, and is wanting her mom to undergo the lovely sounding “version” technique (i.e. pushing on her belly to try and move the baby to the correct position). Barring a successful “version”, mom would undergo C-section.
She’s real excited about that prospect.
I stayed up until 1 a.m. watching our President=Elects acceptance speech on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Couple that with working on the house and teaching, and I was whipped.
On Wednesday night, I fell asleep in the car. At a stop light. Many thanks to the guy that honked at me and woke me up. I can see a cop tapping on my window, then having me do the field sobriety test.
“Honestly, officer! I’m just exhausted!!!”
Last night, I crashed at 9:30. That’s a new record round here.
I’m taking next week off school to be with the family for the arrival of baby #2. Please pray for us. Pray that this little girl will flip like she’s supposed to. Pray that Amanda and my girl are safe. Most of all, pray for God’s will to be done. In our lives, and in our country.
It was a big week.
But next week will be bigger.
