God saved me.
I didn’t choose Him, He chose me. (Eph. 1:4)
I didn’t do anything to earn it. Jesus paid the full penalty. (1 John 4:10)
On my own, I would have never chosen Him. On my own, I choose sin, sickness, death, and the grave. (Romans 1:21-32)
But He didn’t leave me on my own. He called me out of darkness and into His marvelous light! (1 Peter 2:9; Acts 2:39)
As the familiar hymn goes: “I once was lost, but now, am found.”
I didn’t find God.
God found me!
