It was a very cold, dreary day around these parts. No snow, but a driving rain in low 30 temps is no fun for us Southerners. Had it been a Saturday where we could have chilled at home, it wouldn’t have been so bad, but today was Sunday (as you obviously know). So getting two kids and a wife (who can not STAND to get wet) out of the van and into church was not as easy as you might think.
Then out of church and into the van.
Then out of the van and into the pizza place.
Then out of the pizza place and…well, you get the picture.
I was soaked. It looked like I had been trout fishing
without wearing hip waders.
But we spent the rest of the afternoon indoors, playing the unbelievably addictive contraption known as the “Wii”, and watching my nephew talk smack to his dad as he smoked him in tennis.
It ended up being a very restful day and good Sunday. Couple that with the news that my school is on a two-hour delay, and it’s been a wonderful day.
So I’ll begin the week on a light note, and leave you with this picture of bliss: Hannah snoozing, snuggled into her carrier as we arrived home.
I’ve said it a thousand times, but I’ll say it again.
I
Am
Blessed.
